Well I decided to turn in the bracelet since it was a little big and I already have a bracelet that could work since it is the exact type of bracelet although mine might be a bit thinner. Cool I'm going to be getting all kinds of good mail on Friday which is nice since tomorrow would be my one year anniversary for my website. I don't think that's too bad considering I have no clue about HTML so it isn't completely horrible and it has a pagerank. I'm trying the positive thing which is pretty much a foreign concept to me.
Thankfully there was no line in Penney's so that was quick although I did take a peek at the jewelry and spotted a ring I might want to get but first I'll think about it. Also there's the possibility of me doing the sneaky thing which I'll just leave up to your imagination and no I'm not talking about the five finger discount thing just a creative exchanging thing. I thought I'd go to RobinsonMay or whatever the hell they call it here and ended up in Macys. I thought it was there but I guess not. No sign of Folgers anywhere. Okay it isn't named after the coffee but it has the same first four letters. I think Foley's or something but maybe that store is gone.
Since the mall is confusing as hell with one side landing you on the second floor for reasons unknown to me. Damn I really miss Lakewood Mall complete with Sanrio Surprises. How in the hell am I supposed to get to Aurora and to the only Hello Kitty store in the whole asshole state? Sadly I haven't mastered the art of teleporting. Hello Kitty can be had but not up to the standards I'm used to and certainly not in stationary form although I tend to babble when writing letters. Imagine that me babbling? I really should get those letters started today so I can finally get my ass to Walmart and get those stamps I need.
I have a few stamps but I'm not sure if the price went up or how much these stamps are because some genius decided it would be fun to make them mystery stamps. I haven't looked but I don't think they have the price on them. I just hope I don't end up with that weird package again where I think I gave a tip when I bought the stamps. Maybe my math was off or something but I seemed to pay extra for them. Another great thing about Lakewood Mall would be the little self serve post office thingie in the parking lot and just across the street from the mall would be the actual post office unlike this place where the post office is in a mystery zone. I think I could find it but I'm not a 100% sure and I don't want to pay tax just to get some lousy stamps.
So I was in Macy's and was on the second floor because I'm the bozo that thought I'd go upstairs when I was in Penney's because I thought it was on the second floor and it turns out that there is a door that leads outside but I wanted to check the jewelry which happened to be downstairs. When I walked in there was a chick that said hi. I said hi back and apparently I didn't rate a asking how I am but the second one did and I made it to the escalator and went downstairs. When I was walking back to the front of the store I ended up passing perfume people which I wasn't thrilled about. Thankfully these weren't the ones that just ambush you and spray so I said no thank you to the stinky whatever and kept walking.
Of course I ended up passing the same chick I saw upstairs but this time she didn't say a word. She's probably talking about me over lunch.
Betty: Hey Bertha.
Bertha: Hi Betty. You're never going to believe this. I saw this strange girl wandering the store. I think she might be homeless or possibly retarded or maybe an escapee from an asylum.
Betty: Did you speak to her?
Bertha: Yes.
Betty: Did she say something back?
Bertha: Yes.
Betty: If she was an escaped mental patient she would have conked you on the head and dragged you to the elevator.
Bertha: True.
I didn't have any luck finding charms although they did have jewelry. Sadly there wasn't a sale. Did they just snap the shutters closed on the sale or was it only a weekend sale? I went out deciding that I'd look to see if I missed it because this mall is crazy in a word. Of course there was some chick with a clipboard so I started moving over to the left and she got the clue. I did manage a peek down to the right and knew that wasn't where the store was so I'm thinking that Macy's is where Folgers or whatever used to be.
I looked in Sears and did see a cute watch. It was Tinkerbell and it was 25% so I might get it but I'd have to figure out how much it costs. Oh crap where's a calculator when you need one? It looks like I'm going to have to do math. It isn't the typical strap. I did see on in Penney's with the plastic strap but no this one was more of a jewelry looking vibe I guess. I might get it since I love fairies. Yes I have a Hello Kitty watch on right now with a leather strap since I replaced it. So I'm thinking I might get it if the sale holds on a bit longer.
Next stop was Barnes & Noble which is becoming a regular thing. Well there are series that I'm working on getting and I guess it would be Xanth's turn. It was also nice to find books that weren't the usual $7.99. I was going to get three but I went with two and held off on getting that Otherworld Book and just got the two Xanth ones. I decided to whip out the credit card I bought a while ago to get the Xena DVDs so I though I had a buck and some change on it so I figured I might as well use the thing instead of losing it or having it expire on me.
Color me surprised when she tells me and by she I mean the crazy old lady at the register. Okay maybe she isn't full on crazy but she was annoying that one day because I'm just not a fan of waiting in line. Oh where was I? Oh yes I was surprised when she told me that the card more than took care of the amount. Hell I was almost tempted to see if I could grab another book or two since this was a surprise. I really need to look into that because maybe I only used it for the Xena DVDs and nothing else. That's possible I suppose or maybe it got credited back because there was one thing I ordered that I won't be able to get.
That is so annoying when something comes out and then they decide to put it out of print. What is up with that? Why would a DVD come out and be gone in a couple years while others are still around? Hell I was finally able to get The Craft I think last week. I'm not sure when that came out on DVD since I'm only recently been updating my collection. I had to get all the Whedonverse ones along with Xena although two of those were in limbo for a while but finally that is complete too. I kind of wished I delayed on Charmed because the box set looks pretty cool but also pretty pricey too since I'm thinking mine was a bit cheaper but I'm curious about the unaired pilot with the girl that must be kicking herself.
I went to the library where I was bombarded by hardbacks but some were the smaller hardbacks that are like paperbacks only hard. Did that sound dirty? I didn't get a basket although I certainly qualified with all those books. Now I have the Torchwood books I've been wanting to read. I can't buy every single book I read since I'd have to be a zillionaire since from Sept 07 to Sept 08 I read 130 books which translates to quite a bit of money because I don't feel like adding that up do you? On the way back I decided to go the other way instead of going to Target which I might do tomorrow.
I thought I'd take a look in Ross and I walked over there and across the parking lot and up to the door only to find out that the place is bare. There was a sign so it might have moved or something. Oops I hope no one saw that. It's not like I tried to open the door or something which I didn't. For all I know the postman in that jeep was laughing at me. How the hell was I supposed to know that Ross was gone? It was there before. I'm not sure when I went but I think I bought my Converse there or maybe that was TJ Max.
For that whoops moment I thought I'd go to The Dollar Tree for some cotton candy and hope that the weird smell wasn't there. I went in Cost Plus first and saw jewelry but sadly it wasn't sterling silver. Sorry but that's the kind I prefer. I found of all things candy corn garlands. What the fuck? Why didn't they have bats? I would have bought bat garland not some candy corn garland which is just odd. Oh yes I'm going to string my garlands of candy corn down in the basement. I next went into Joann's and debated on getting Peeps but the Peeps were a bit more than I'm used to so I didn't get them and the Halloween stuff was kind of a letdown.
I next finally made it to The Dollar Store and got my cotton candy. Sure I had to fight the thing that was holding it a bit but after that it was all good. I didn't even smell the odd smell that I always smell when I go in there. I found a cart so I thought that was the register only no one was there except a chick with her cart and possibly a small child. I wasn't looking so I'm not totally sure but pretty sure. I went left and found a register and found no one there except for the cashier so I was able to get my stuff with no fuss.
She eyed my rings well the ones on the right hand since the left hand had a glove on it. See what I mean about those Lex moments with the gloved hand that of course is black the glove not the hand since I'm very white and I mean very. Just another reason to think I'm part vampire since I'm incapable of tanning and only burn so I don't bother to do that either so I'm lathering up. I'm just glad she didn't ask me to remove my other glove to look at my left hand. I just changed my rings so I wasn't wearing the fairies. Yes the Dean ring arrived so of course I had to put it on.
