Stupid hardback book delaying me. At least the next two are in paperback. There was a bit of a delay since I didn't have this book right away which happened last time too. If you haven't read the first two books you really should since these series really do pick up where the last one left off so it makes more sense to start at the beginning instead of in the middle. Now if that made any sense you deserve a cookie so go on and get some and maybe have some milk too unless you're allergic or something so get something else to drink.
Giselle is as nasty as ever in this continuing tale of the twins. Ruby is married to Paul in a marriage that's name only. Everyone assumes Pearl is his daughter so they appear to be the perfect couple. Ironically the lies just keep coming and Giselle enjoys pouring salt in the wound when she ends up getting back together with Beau. So Giselle is pretty pathetic clinging to this guy when he's still carrying a torch for Ruby. I've never really thought much of the guy myself after all he never tried to do anything and just went along with his parents when they sent him away with Daphne's assurance that Ruby would get an abortion.
So the lies continue on and hello there's a new lie when something happens. These books are always twisted but I assume much like crack you just can't turn away from them so I end up reading anyway despite how disturbing they might get. At least no animal gets killed which tends to happen a lot in RL Stine books. I wonder why that is. Anyway I've enjoyed reading this book again and I have to say that I don't like Gisselle or Beau for that matter. I do feel bad for Paul but the guy never did make an effort to get over Ruby. If you have no idea who Paul is you really should read the other books which would make what I'm saying make more sense at least I hope so. Keep in mind that I have the power of confusion so you might already be confused about things.
