Death Du Jour

At last I've been able to find paperbacks at the library so I just might be able to pull off reading all of them before the new season starts although the books are nothing like the show. I knew about the show first which I believe is a first because the other books turned shows have been read by me first if that makes any sense. I guess I could consider it my own challenge which isn't such a challenge well the search for them in paperback is the challenge part but I think I might be able to pull it off after all I do have one other and more on hold so I'm working on it.

Now I tend to read books in order when dealing with a series but I didn't this time because you don't really have to and also because I have to go with what the library delivers and this was it although it is number two so that isn't too far off. The Temperance or Tempe is quite different in the book so don't expect the one that you see in the show. She's asked to ID a set of bones for some nuns but since murder never takes a holiday she finds herself in the middle of a murder case.

I don't seem to be one of those people that go all insane when a book gets turned into a TV show although in this case I didn't know it until after hearing about the show. Come on what Buffy and Angel fan wouldn't be drawn to this show after hearing that David was going to be on? I think it is possible to enjoy the both of them. She's still a Forensic Anthropologist but she's also a teacher and isn't pop culturally retarded like the TV version and oh she she's also a mother since she has a daughter named Kay in the book who does turn up. So if you watch the show you might want to check it out but you have been warned that there are lots of differences between the two but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it too.

I read one of her books once in our book club. Now it bugs me that I cant think of the title... I did like it though.

I love your blog colors.... I like to look around at other book blogs and so many are just standard. Its fun to see the ones that really stand out.

Thanks. It's actually a Halloween one but I'm just glad I got the thing to work without losing the sidebar.
