There are plenty of books and movies available to satisfy any Austen fan. Whether it’s a novel about the Bennet sisters fighting zombies, a TV mini-series in which a modern day British girl swaps places with Elizabeth Bennet or Colin Firth’s unforgettable portrayal of Darcy, Austen is all around us. Even if you haven’t read any of Jane Austen’s novels, mostly likely you’ve seen some of the movies or heard about all the Austen-themed books available today.
The details! The Everything Austen Challenge will run for six months (July 1, 2009 – January 1, 2010)! All you need to do is pick out what six Austen-themed things you want to finish to complete the challenge.
And go here for more details and to sign up.
I'm pretty new to the challenge thing but I thought I'd give it a go since I shouldn't have a problem since the VC Andrews one will be done long before it ends since I'm on book 8 of that which is a little slower because the book is a hard back. So this would be number three on the challenge front and the other one only requires three books so six things isn't impossible since I'm a bookslut.
As for the six I'm not sure about which ones I'll go with but I think I'll start with watching Lost In Austen. I've been meaning to watch that and I loved Jemima on Hex and oops why did I type G before. I guess it's one of those kooky days where weirdness abounds after all it did start raining out.
1. Lost In Austen
2. Emma: I think I managed to get this on hold at the library. There was an oopsie when I accidentally clicked on the wrong library to pick it up from but I think it's all good now.
3. The Confession Of Fitzwilliam Darcy
Well at least I have half figured out. The odd thing is that when I went to the website to locate some books I noticed that I wasn't the only one looking for these books. I'll see about the other three later. There are a lot of people putting books on hold. I'll just go back there later since I'll just start with this after all a girl can only read so many books at once.

3 Bite Me:
Hi,
I was never a huge Jane Austen fan but last year I saw something on PBS called Ms. Austen Regrets and it broke my heart and in doing so, prompt me to learn more about Ms. Austen. That novel about the Bennet sisters fighting zombies sounds pretty awesome.
I never read them until I was out of high school. I think I didn't like being forced to read something. I think I might read about the sisters fighting zombies too.
Thanks so much for joining my challenge!! Happy reading!
