As usual when a series comes out with another book I go back and reread the series and I'm finally getting around to doing that and I have the latest book on hold at the library because I'll wait until it comes out in paperback before I get it. It is a fun series and vampires always do get my attention so of course that's what drew me in and I'd heard about this author and finally got around to reading it and enjoyed it otherwise I wouldn't be reading it again. There are some books you just read and return to the library while others you read again which for me would mostly be series.Sookie Stackhouse isn't like other girls since she's a telepath which has to really suck. Sure it sounds good being able to hear what other people are thinking but I think I'd pass on that and take telekinesis instead because that way I could move things with my mind including moving a headache out of my head like Prue did. She works at a bar and because of her disability everyone in town thinks she's crazy. That isn't nice so of course it is wonderful when Bill walks into the bar that night.
Since I know about Bill I'm just not all that crazy about him but it is amusing that a vampire would be named Bill. Sookie also discovers that she can't read his mind which has to be utter bliss. Talk about a damper if you're trying to date someone and you can read his mind. Oh Sookie why can't you give Sam a chance? I also wonder about Sam and Dean and the possibility that someone read this series before bring a certain pair of brothers to life. I can't be the only one to wonder about this. So if you enjoy vampires you should check out this series and since this is the first book you can start with this one.

3 Bite Me:
I'm like you - when I see a book that's getting a lot of attention, but it's the 4th, 5th, etc., in a series, I have to go back to the beginning. I also just started reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, and joined a challenge over at Beth Fish Reads. I have to say, they are quick reads, and are pure entertainment...enjoy!
I don't really think of myself as having a to be read list but I guess I do because I have a bunch of series that I either want to reread or read.
Thanks for providing me your link. I added it to my review. I have book 2 in the series and have joined the Sookie reading challenge.
