Death Of A Dream

Yes I stepped out of my typical reading zone and entered the world of non fiction although I picked it up and didn't think so much about the non fiction part. I'm just a fan of fiction and it's kind of strange to be reading about someone that's real. I've never been that person that stops and stares at accidents and even one time had to turn around instead of going to Winchells for donuts because there was an accident in front of the place. So I just went to the online card catalog and found this book.

I started this reading challenge a little early because the book came fast which is why I already have a book done when this challenge didn't officially start until today. Did that make sense? So I ended up finishing this last night. Now I'm not sure if I'll start making non fiction part of my reading but I'll admit to being a bit surprised that I was drawn into this story after all I did finish it pretty quickly. I started reading it Sunday evening.

Since this is true crime that means someone died which is always a sad thing especially when it's someone so young. Catherine Woods had a dream of being a dancer. Sadly her life was cut short and of course with death comes the dragging out of stuff in the person's closet which includes her stripping. Of course she didn't deserve to die because she was a stripper and I think it shouldn't matter if she did some stripping after all it is a way to make some pretty good money. I thought it would take effort to read this because I'm a fiction girl but I got sucked in and eeks that dude Paul is just creepy. If you happen to pick up the book that one picture he gave to Catherine just gave me the willies.

Woohoo! The first review! I'm glad you ended up getting sucked into the book! I'm a fan of true crime. I'm morbidly curious like that. Green River Running Red is a book I liked. For the life of me I can't remember the author's name though.

Wasn't it also a movie? It sounds familiar.
