The Face

Yes I'm back to Fear Street. As usual this is a crazy read. Martha can't remember what happened last November but she's haunted by this face she keeps drawing. She's desperate to know what happens but no one is allowed to tell her. Bit by bit she pieces things together and even one of her friends warns her about another friend. Who is this friend? Why did she warn her? Can you put the pieces together? Odd tale but hey it's Fear Street which seems to be like crack you just keep coming back for more even if you're not sure why.

I did figure out who the killer was? Big surprise someone died in the book but on the plus side an animal didn't which happens quite a lot in these books. I'm not even sure if that death is even possible. Of course there's no way to test it. I guess a watermelon could be used but come on a wire decapitating someone seems a little unlikely but it was funny in a morbid sort of way. Come on think of the imagery of someone skiing that ends up running into wire, gets the head lopped off while the body continues skiing for a bit before falling.

I don't recall any animals dying in the fear street books I read as a girl. I probably don't remember or I probably stopped reading as I don't like reading about animals dying. Ahhh Fear Street! it brings back memories of my jaded youth :D lol. I still have a bunch of them, maybe I'll go back to reading the lot as well.

I must be lucky since I seem to be reading the ones where an animal ends up dead except this one where the cat actually survived.
