Ooh scary shadow on the cover. The covers amuse me. Maybe it isn't such a good idea to go to a place called Howling Inn on a island. Jan and her friends plan to spend the summer on Piney Island working at this place. Aunt Rose is along for the trip but she gets sick which delays her. When they get there no one's around and the butler at least that's how I think of him Martin is kinda creepy but maybe it's a good idea to listen when someone keeps telling you to leave. So Rose doesn't go with the others but she plans on joining them but she never shows up. Things just get weirder and weirder. So the lesson is that you shouldn't go to an island especially when there's a psycho on the loose. Crazy story that really didn't make sense but the heads were funny and there was a twist that you might not figure out or who knows you might figure it out. Always listen to the butler and don't go to Piney Island because you might never come back.
