Night Chills

I am the key. You are the lock. Okay now here's what you need to do first you need to follow this blog and read it regularly. If you watch soaps go over to my soap blog and read that one too. If you aren't watching any soaps I suggest one of the ones I watch. Well this is one creepy ass book so if you're prone to paranoia you might not want to read it so don't say you weren't warned about this. There have been a few books I've picked up that I've put right back down but I like Dean Koontz and recently started reading him again since I devoured a lot of his books in High School.

This is an older one that I didn't read the first time around because I'm pretty sure I wasn't able to read in that year. Even I'm not that impressive even if I can read while I'm walking. Odgen Salsbury takes the idea of subliminal advertising to extremes by working on a way to control people. Of course he needs to test it which he does and then he decides to go to Black River a small town to try it out on the people there. He doesn't count on Paul taking his kids there on vacation along with a few people that weren't affected by the drugs or the hidden messages in ads on TV etc.

So yeah this is pretty freaky because it could turn you paranoid at the possibility of this happening. Odgen is a total psycho so of course he messes things up and when he realizes he did he calls the two partners to help clean things up. So what happens to the residents? Well you'll just have to find out for yourself And you won't remember the first part of that first paragraph either. Enjoy if you dare to read it. I give it a thumbs up even though it is pretty disturbing.

LOL!! Dean Koontz' books definitely have the tendency to mess with a person's head. I like to get scared and paranoid.. I just might have to pick this one up. Actually Robin Cook's books would sometimes give me the same effect.

He does write some weird stuff. I haven't read a Robin Cook in a while so I might have to check the library to see if I can get some. I like him too.

I love his books, but I think I'd be afraid to meet Koontz in person!

Have you read any of Koontz' "Odd Thomas" series?

For all we know he might be a very normal guy but on second thought maybe not. I write some weird stuff and I certainly fall into the oddball category but at least small children haven't run screaming away from me.

Actually I haven't really read Koontz in years so it's only been pretty recently that I've read any of his books. I just might check it out. I did notice the series which is pretty unusual for him since he tends to do single books.
