A Touch Of Dead

Chances are you might not be aware of the short stories out there about this verse so it is pretty handy to have them all in the one book. Since they are short stories they are short which some people don't seem to comprehend. I'd rather on one of those rare occasions just buy one book instead of five. So if you want to complete your Sookie Stackhouse series this would be a great addition.

This helps fill in the blanks a bit. It is also handy because it tells you when each book takes place among the series. The first story Fairy Dust has Claudine and Claude along with a little surprise that you wouldn't be aware of. Now I'd already read this in some other anthology that was like fourteen or fifteen bucks which is why I'm glad they have all the stories together since it's stupid to buy five books just for the one story. I have yet to read an anthology where I love all of the stories. Of course when all the stories are written by the author that increases the odds of liking them all. They really should put all the Betsy Taylor short stories together since I doubt I've read them all.

Some I like and there's always that chance of not liking something. That isn't an issue when you have short stories from the same author. I do wonder if they'll have Claudine in the show. Hell that's who I thought Maryanne was at first but of course she turned out to be the maenad who actually got a name and in my opinion was on too damn long if you ask me. The next story is about Dracula and it's a bit like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin only Dracula instead. That reminds me I did have an idea so I better see about getting it down before it goes poof. I really hate when that happens. And after that is a story about Hadley who I thought would be in it but wasn't. The last story has Sookie celebrating Christmas which comes with an unexpected guest.
